ALRIGHT. Busy season is officially over and life is hopefully returning back to some sort of normalcy. As predicted 2013 has been THE PITS. I’m hoping for some sort of turnaround… if you find it, can you send it my way?
I hate to be all negativo on you, because 99% of the time I try, even with all that goes on in my life, to uphold a positive outlook on life. Glass is half full peoples!
So here’s a teeny tiny recap to get you caught up to speed, lay it out on the table for you, vent, feel better and hopefully get this whole bloggy momentum rolling again. Or ya know, just Spring Clean my life for you in a blog post.
January: Left job of 5 years for new gig. One of my best girl friends moved into Hoboken :), spent a lot of time with family, I blogged a fair amount in Jan so no need to get into the deets.
February: Well, this was a rough one. I lost my Dad to Pancreatic Crappy Cancer. Ate my feelings. Saw “Nice Work if You Can Get It” with my best bishes. And saw my NYC Half Marathon training go to the birds. BUT Big Sis got engaged on Valentines Day! They are planning a June 2014 wedding in Spring Lake, NJ! I’m so very excited! eeep!! Aren’t they presh.
March: Celebrated what would have been my dad’s 60th birthday without him. Busy season hit harder than anticipated with a few “late nights” late being 10pm which was a vast improvement of my old 12/3am stints. Lost our pet rabbit Lilly who was in our lives for 8 years (seriously… 2013 can go to… whistle…). Attended a Gala at the Natural History Museum. Ran the NYC Half Marathon with a decent time considering!! Saw Book of Mormon!!! Actually had a great 28th birthday (thank you everyone who came out for all the events)! & My Brother-in-law got engaged!!! They are planning a Nov 2013 Wedding at Pebble Beach! Hey now! I gotta brush up on my golf skillz.
So now we’re in April. Busy season is over. The sun has returned, it better get warmer and I’ve been getting my butt up at 5:30AM to attend the 6am Open Barre class at Local Barre in Uptown ‘Bokes. I’m using these classes to supplement my running. They are sooo much harder than I thought and I’m loving it. If you haven’t done any “Barre” classes you need to get on the bandwagon. Like. Yesterday. OH. And on Tuesday I start the Blue Print Cleanse. I will def be blogging about that experience.
How do you Spring Clean?
